Cicerone Connect

The Marathon des Sables, triathlons and fastpacking the West Highland Way: community-focused Louise Johnstone is no stranger to challenges.

Join Cicerone and Louise to find out about her next epic adventure, #2021runnorthsea, the importance of the outdoors on our mental health, and to be inspired to take up a new challenge of your own (however big or small).

Louise is a Dundee based person trainer and endurance athlete, who has spent her career focusing on improving the mental and physical health of women. In 2016 she ran the Marathon des Sables, raising over £5,000 for Dundee Association for Mental Health, covering 154 miles over 6 days in gruelling conditions.

2021 will see Louise take on her biggest challenge to date. #2021runnorthsea involves 7 countries, 2 feet and over 3,455.5 miles in approximately 100 days. She is striving to engage further with the Dundee and Scottish community, raising money and awareness for the Scottish Association of Mental Health as part of her mission to run the EuroVelo 12 North Sea Cycle Route.
